Jean-Pierre Attal’s work is focused on the representation of contemporary urban society.
He deciphers its multiple facets and it’s paradoxes, exploring the codes and the mechanisms that underlie the City.
His photographic research resembles a sociological investigation. First like an anthropologist, he collects primary data on the ground, and then using a concise visual language, he crystallizes a snapshot of the supercharged metropolis.
The different chapters of his work find their coherence in the variety of conceptual perspectives, a personal kaleidoscope reaching from surrealism to images that are highly rooted in reality.
His work has been exhibited in the major international Contemporary Art Fairs, and has been acquired by private foundations and public collections.
